It may be that once these nominees get a good look, and a good listen, at the administration, there is no there, there.

Well, there's a whole handful of former Clintonistas, like Brad DeLong, who thought Clinton was too conservative, who should be eager to jump in.

We have to remember at this juncture in President Bush's first term, the media hadn't yet ramped up it's 24/7 hate campaign. With the explosive growth of alternative media,( thus far uncontrolled by liberal factions) the truth is being offered to millions more people. And in President Obama's case, 'it aint what we bargained for.

I don't really believe it, yet, but the 'Manchurian Candidate' theory is beginning to look plausible. Clearly, Alinsky's modus operandi is in effect therefore premeditated destruction is a thinkable end.

This is a combination of the total inexperience of the Obamessiah and his massive and arrogant ego. He can't help himself. He doesn't want to share the spotlight with ANYONE. As far as he's concerned he's the most important person in ANY room and no one will be allowed to forget that. After all, as he told some of his fellow Senators, he;s the One the world has been waiting for.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Obama. All of this was known well before the election. He specifically stated on more than one occasion that the policies he wanted to put in place would bankrupt the coal industry and raise the price of fossil fuels to the area of $5/gal. People were so enamored of the idea of having an articulate black man as president they completely stopped listening to what was actually coming out of his mouth. The media were complicit in this by refusing to question anything he said and deliberately glossing over anything that might portray the Obamessiah in a bad light. And now they want to start complaining? The Chosen One is going to destroy not just our economy but the entire world economy and nobody has the guts to stop him.

I remember back in the 80s, two small colleges in Iowa, Northern Iowa Tech and Western Iowa Tech, explored merger. The working name of the proposed merged school was NIT-WIT. How would you like being a graduate and having THAT on your resume?

This is the most dangerous man we ever elected to the Presidency. I think that people who did vote for him seriously couldn't believe that someone could be as radical as this and get elected.

For years my fictional detective, J. P. Beaumont, has worked for a fictional Special Homicide Investigation Team. You do the acronym. That's good for a running joke in each book.

Hmmmm....I just got a request in the mail for a donation. The organization is the Friends of Aging Retired Teachers. The contribution (which must be in small, unmarked bills) should be sent to 1060 W. Addison St., Chicago, IL 60613.

Do you think they stole the acronym? And should I contribute?

In the late '50s my Father, working with a very large insurance company, had samples of a new form land on his desk. He never did tell me what the initials were, but the company scrapped what today would be about $250,000 worth of printed material. Had this happen twice with companies I worked for - at about $50,000 each time. Ah, good old Sam Houston Institute of Technology. Your turn!
